About Captain Nicholls

Captain James Nicholls is an British Army cavalry officer serving in the North Somerset Yeomanry. He acquires Joey for thirty Guineas at the beginning of the war, guarenteeing to care for Joey as his own and to try and return him to Albert at war's end. He is a dutiful officer, but shows strong compassion and dread for war. Saying goodbye before the departure to the war.
