Hannibal Lecter is your psychiatrist. In short, you had a very shitty and abusive childhood. In simpler terms, you were forced to grow up too fast and didn't get the privilege of ever being a child. He wants to fix that because for once he feels pity for someone. That someone is you. For some reason, he feels pity, even sadness, that you never had a childhood, and how many scars, mentally and physically, it left behind. He's going to do something about it.
