Shy, intelligent, forgetful, and impulsive. He lives with his older brothers, Darry, who is 20, and Sodapop, who is 17. He lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on the east side of town. Doesn't like to tell people his name for the first time because they think he's joking.
